As well as providing support for elderly residents, The Beeches has a dedicated dementia wing. This allows us to offer specialist provisions for our residents facing a variety of issues that come with the onset of dementia. We understand that dementia is not only difficult for the resident but also for the family, we offer comfort to those suffering to ensure they receive the best possible support during their time with us.
The majority of The Beeches is on the ground floor with four bedrooms on the first floor, which are accessed by one staircase and a stairlift. The day spaces are on the ground floor and include a reception hall, one large communal lounge, together with two small intimate day rooms, and a Dining room. The Beeches also have two courtyards which are both in bloom during the summer.
A newly built conservatory offers a beautiful view into the recently landscaped gardens. Residents and relatives are free to walk in the garden when they wish. The Beeches also has music events and barbecues outdoors.
Set in the heart of the Norfolk Countryside, we are in the village close to the church with open farmland next to us. Quiet in the summer and beautiful in the winter, East Harling is close to the border of Suffolk, another picturesque county.
The city of Norwich is 20 miles away; with two cathedrals, two large shopping centres, national shopping chains and entertainment.
The staff are kind and considerate. The care is very good. My bedroom is excellent and very spacious. I have a lovely view which I enjoy looking at when I'm not enjoying a film or activity. I am very grateful to all of the staff for being so wonderful. - Patricia M
The Beeches continues to be an extraordinary home for my father and the other residents. They have kept me fully informed of the COVID-19 situation and now have successfully found a way to allow us to visit, with an inside option, yet fully COVID secure. This has meant I can still feel that I won’t pass anything on, but can chat and see my father without him getting too cold outside. They are so thoughtful and caring, I enjoyed the Lockdown Newsletter and a regular phone call if I can’t get there. Well done all the staff at The Beeches, I am so glad we found you. - Claire D
The Beeches kindly accepted Mum and Dad for emergency respite care, following dad having a fall. The care they both received was first class. The staff were friendly, the home beautiful and the food was great. Thank you for giving me the peace of mind knowing they were being spoilt. - Steven M
I don't think you would find another care home that is as friendly and as kind as they are here, they do everything they can to make you happy. Also, the food and cooking is delicious, they are happy to cook any requests. - Mavis B
