Southwell Court Care Home received highest rating possible in recent inspection

Southwell Court Care Home has achieved a food hygiene rating of 5 in their latest inspection, which took place on January 17^th 2022.

The inspector sets out to ascertain that the care home is complying with all the latest health & safety, and infection prevention and control guidance in relation to food storage, preparation and serving of the food.

The inspector does this by focusing on three main elements:

Complying with Health & Safety procedures : 5 (GOOD)

Within this the inspector will check the correct use of labels and dating of food items, the correct storage practices, and ensure that the area where food is prepared, cooked, stored or served is safe and clean and complies with all official guidance. 

Complying with structural requirements : 5 (GOOD)

This part of the inspection relates to the equipment within the service and whether it is fit for purpose of use, as well as being maintained to the highest standard of health and safety. This also looks into the maintenance of the environment to ensure the space is suitable and well-maintained. 

Confidence in management/control procedures : 0 (VERY GOOD)

This third of the inspection looks into the day-to-day running of the facility, and how the service is documented and evidence to show compliance with all latest guidance.
