The Lodge Care Home in Walton-On-The-Naze raises nearly £200 for RNLI in Summer Garden Party!

Residents were overjoyed to see their Summer Garden Party raise a grand total of £188.01 for the RNLI!

The RNLI was chosen as our charity benefactor for this event at the request of our resident group, due to their lifesaving work throughout our region and the wider community, keeping people safe in and around the water. 

Residents were enthralled by the combination of amazing entertainment; good food, great company and gorgeous weather on 27^th August, which culminated in an afternoon not to be missed!

Complete with prizes donated by the local community, businesses and organisations – residents were incredibly proud to raise £188 for this amazing cause through the inclusion of their tombola and raffle stalls.

Everyone attending was welcome to enjoy a home-cooked BBQ complete with an amazing selection of sides by our wonderful Chef Jun, who is always happy to go the extra mile to give our residents a truly unique dining experience.

We wanted to say a huge thank you to each and every member of our ream who went above and beyond to not only give our amazing residents an afternoon they’ll never forget, but also to our amazing resident group who have made a significant contribution to this service within our community.

We would also like to extend a special thanks to our amazing Activities Coordinator Julie Green and Home Manager Aleksandra who have spearheaded the team with drive and determination, and organised this amazing event for our resident group.

This was an amazing afternoon which brought so many smiles to our residents, staff and residents loved ones – made especially poignant as this was one of our first large-scale, open-house events since the Coronavirus pandemic began.
