Black Swan Care Group has chosen to include the e-Reception Books within the entrances of all of their care facilities, specialising in a range of both physical and mental health conditions and providing care to the elderly.

The e-Reception Book has been designed by Hampshire-based innovative software agency MediaBase Direct.

Head of sales for MediaBase Direct said:

"We are thrilled Black Swan Care Group have decided to use the e-Reception Book, which has become an indispensable tool for care homes battling the pressures of COVID-19.
The new Covid-workplace policy has made it essential to know who is in the building at any time, especially to support the Governments contact tracing efforts”.

The care homes feature iPads within the home’s foyers, allowing guests to check in and out with the flick of their wrists.

It also features a dynamic feedback system using a smiley system to rate their visit within the home and allows staff to respond quickly to any feedback and find areas to improve, which is something we continually strive towards as a company.

As a company Black Swan Care Group are very passionate about ensuring we make as positive an impact on our environment as we can and feel that moving away from paper-based feedback and signing in, is a positive step in the right direction.

Black Swan Care Group has been named in the Top 20 care providers throughout the UK based on reviews of their service users throughout 2020 in the Carehome.co.uk awards, as well as winning the Large Business of the Year in the Norfolk Business Award in 2020 and being a finalist in the Laing Buisson Awards 2020.

They have 20 different facilities specialising in a range of conditions, focusing on providing person-centred high-quality care to their service users. Out of Black Swan’s facilities, three are rated Outstanding Overall by the Care Quality Commission, 9 include Outstanding ratings within key lines of enquiry, and the remainder are all rated as Good overall.

Tom Lyons, Managing Director of Black Swan Care Group believes the e-Reception Book will be hugely beneficial to the group:

“As a company Black Swan Care Group are always striving to improve our services to ensure the highest quality of care for our residents. The person-centred approach is at the heart of what we do, and we are passionate about treating everyone within our care with dignity, respect, and understanding.
We are consistently asking for feedback from our residents, staff and residents loved ones to enable us to improve our services and make them top-notch for each resident on an individual basis.
We believe the smiley face rating system encourages participation and is also more accessible for anyone wishing to comment on the care we provide”.
