Black Swan Care Group Homes celebrate Easter 2022

25/04/2022
Residents of Potton View Care Home in Gamlingay, Cambridgeshire enjoyed Easter themed craft sessions across the weekend.

Black Swan Care Group Homes celebrate Easter 2022 with fun-filled weekend!

Celebrations such as Easter are incredibly special and poignant to a number of our residents for religious reasons, or simply for the important memories associated with these special occasions which we celebrate numerous times throughout our lives.

We feel that due to the benefits to our residents it is important to encourage our homes to think independently and design activities suited to each homes resident group, to ensure our activities are inclusive for all and to give the most enriching experience possible. This is something we are incredibly pasisonate about as an organisation and are proud to see the amazing ways our staff and residents celebrated Easter 2022!

We wanted to share just a few of the amazing Easter themed activities, craft sessions, and fun events across Black Swan Care Group homes!

Potton View Care Home, Gamlingay, Cambridgeshire

At Potton View Care Home our residents began gearing up for their Easter celebrations early by using their craft sessions with Activity Coordinator Sharon Nickerson to create amazing Easter-themed decorations for the home.

They made an amazing assortment of bonnets and hats which our residents wore on Easter Sunday, really getting into the spirit of this holiday and enjoying a wonderful roast together!

Spring Lodge Care Home, Clacton-On-Sea, Essex

At Spring Lodge Care Home we were lucky enough to have a very surprise visit from none other than the Easter Bunny himself who paw-delivered individual Easter eggs to each of our amazing residents.

We wanted to share our thanks to our amazing team members Vicky (The Easter Bunny herself) and Pearl who took the time out of their day to give our residents a truly wonderful experience!

Thank you for your hard work and dedication.

Mid Meadows Care Home, Frinton-On-Sea, Essex

At Mid Meadows Care Home our residents had an amazing time creating their own fantastic decorations for the Easter weekend to go on display in the home, as well as a custom art board for the dining room to enjoy whilst eating their Easter Sunday lunch!

They did Easter crafts on the theme of Spring featuring locally-sourced branches, twigs and shells from the local area to create individual decorations for the art area in the homes conservatory, where our residents enjoy regular classes with Activity Coordinator Sara Scott.

Kings Lynn Care Home, Norfolk

At Kings Lynn Care Home our residents had a true Easter bonanza complete with parties, music, games and lots of fun activities for our residents to enjoy.

Our residents began their festive activities schedule by creating their own Easter themed hats and bonnets for their in-house hat competition, before moving on to make amazing Easter baskets to adorn the home.

As well as this they went to their local theatre to watch a special Easter performance of the Wizard of Oz - a story our residents have watched many times throughout their lives. They thoroughly enjoyed the Pantomime and look forward to seeing the next show!

Chiswick House Care Home, Norwich

At Chiswick House Care Home our residents had a fantastic time in the lead up to Easter weekend, preparing some amazing artistic resources for the home in their craft sessions with Activity Coordinator Kate Shepheard.

Residents made their own wonderful decorations to go on display in the lounge and dining room, baked some wonderful Easter-themed sweet treats to enjoy across the weekend as well as a splendid afternoon tea on Good Friday courtesy of Chef Caroline!

Thank you to our staff across the group for their amazing work, you do an amazing job and we are incredibly proud of each and every one of you.
